We needed to have someone who understands how rations, housing and robot settings affect cow behaviour. We are happy that the Advanced Robot nutritionists are on our wavelength and adjustments are made according to their knowledge and data gained from working with numbers robot systems.
Feeding the dairy cow - fats
Fats are an important part of the dairy cow’s diet to ensure that they are getting enough energy, especially early in the lactation. Many rations include protected fats. It is really important that the protected fat you choose maximises the health of your cows to help production and milk composition.
Choosing the right fat will:-
- Improve milk protein production
- Improve milk fat production
- Improve body condition score
A fat can be a beneficial addition to a ration but with the number of products available, it can be difficult to pick the right one for your cows.
If you would like more information on protected fats, please get in touch.
